Hey! So today I heard Maroon 5's new song 'Payphone' and I really like it, I'll admit I have a teensy crush on Adam Levine (tattoos and stubble = swoon) but they do also make some pretty good songs..
They haven't brought out a official vid for the song yet but there's always a lyric video on youtube, so I'll link that one below. As always I own nothing, I'm just sharing :)
The only part I'm unsure of with this song is Wiz Khalifa's rap, I think it kinda ruins the song. But, as a person who's not the biggest rap fan, maybe its just me!
And also as I'm on the 'Maroon 5' topic I thought I'd link another of their songs that I love. The video for this is pretty cool, plus he looks hot! Ha, although so does the girl in his bed, #sigh...

So, I thought I'd do a post on my 5 favourite albums of all time. These are the albums, that for me are completely timeless. There isn't one song within these albums that I dislike. Some are newer than others, obviously Ben Howard is the most recent addition to my 'Top 5', Sam's Town being the oldest. If I had to chose one album out of all, it'd have to be Sigh No More by Mumford, they are just the best band, I saw them live at Glastonbury a few years back and it was one of the most amazing moments of my life. The atmosphere was out of this world. That's the one thing I love about folk music, is that the songs really move people. I remember the whole crowd,(maybe 20,000?!) all singing along to 'Little Lion Man' at the tops of their voices. From that day on I have been totally obsessed with them.
The other albums however, are still pretty vital in my life!
What would be your 5 top albums?

1) Hello! I thought I'd post about my current obsession - Foo Fighters. Now it might seem like I'm a little slow on the uptake, but I'm not usually into rock music, I deem it as too 'angry' for me (yeah pansy, I know). But, the Foo Fighters turned up really loud is amazing. Theres a few of their songs that are a little too 'screamy' for me but the ones I'm loving are, 'These Days', 'Long Road To Ruin', 'The Best Of You' and 'The Pretender'. They are just the best for just going totally crazy to, good after a long/stressful day! Its really making me regret not buying a Leeds Festival ticket, I may have to ebay it!
2) Also, I've been making a 'workout playlist' of songs that will keep me motivated. I find dance tracks really work, and have been buying quite a lot of Pitbull (is that something you admit?!) The songs aren't really songs I'd listen to everyday but for some reason they seem to work really well when exercising!
So the here's the playlist:
- Sean Paul - Temperature
- Kanye West - Stronger (I'll admit this is a tune)
- Pitbull ft Ne Yo - Give Me Everything
- Enrique ft Pitbull - I Like It
- Martin Soveig - Hello
- Usher - More
- David Guetta ft Snoop Dogg - Sweat (cringe)
Hopefully this will get bigger as I discover more songs!
Anyways, if there's any songs that you really like to workout to, let me know!
Quick post about a song I have to talk about. Firstly Romeo ft Usher - 'Promise', this is a bizarre song choice for me but I am obsessed with it as it was the song I heard whilst on holiday. Its Spanish as I went to the Dominican Republic and its a bit 'urban' but it reminds me of being on the bar by the beach and makes me feel warm inside! So I thought I'd share this tune with you! I watched alot of 'HTV' whilst away when getting ready and things, its basically a Spanish MTV if you haven't heard of it, as I hadn't before going. I heard so many Spanish songs but this one is definitely the best one I heard. A;lthough I know it's half English, so really its not all that different but still give it a listen and see if you like it :) I always find it interesting too see what sort of music/artists are popular in different countries. For example, Indochine is a French band that I discovered when I studied French few years back, and they have stuck with me every since. Anyways, short (ish) post, be blogging more soon xx
So, I'm back from my lovely holiday and I feel fresh as a daisy and ready to get on with blogging again! (yayy) I couldn't get internet over there without paying a huge amount so I had to do without all that's electronic for 2 weeks, which was surprisingly nice. Although the first few days I felt a little lost without my blackberry but I got used to it! Almost like a technology detox! I did have my Ipod though, there is absolutely no way that I could live without it on holiday! I had tried to download lots of music beforehand so that I had enough to keep me entertained but if I'm honest it felt like there was something missing and I just can't put my finger on it. So I'm currently on the hunt for the missing puzzle piece in my ever growing music collection. I tend to prefer more peaceful music rather than loud rock type tunes, so I adored the Cinematic Orchestra's - To Build a Home' its such a beautiful song and completely one of my favourites. Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes were 'biggies' whilst away, perfect for sunbathing. If anyone has any suggestions of chilled out bands that would be amazing :) If I manage to find some, I'll be right there will a blog post! I will find this! Every now and then I do enjoy a good rock tune though, my current love is Foo Fighters - These Days, its a shouting-along-to-whilst-jumping-around-the-bedroom type song. So good if your having a hate the world day or just if you feel like being a bit crazy for a few minutes, totally recommend it.
